About the Journal

Acta Health Scientifica (Acta Health Sci) is an international, independent, and peer-reviewed multidisciplinary journal in the field of health sciences, dedicated to publishing manuscripts of the highest scientific and clinical value. Adhering strictly to the principles of scientific impartiality and publication ethics, the journal is published tri-annually in April, August, and December, exclusively in English.

The journal aims to provide a multidisciplinary perspective to the medical literature. While basic and clinical medical sciences constitute the core of our editorial focus, our scope encompasses a broad spectrum of health disciplines. In line with this scope, Acta Health Scientifica accepts high-quality research in the fields of dentistry, midwifery, nursing, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, nutrition and dietetics, health education, health management, and sports health.

Scientific integrity and originality are paramount to our editorial process. Manuscripts submitted to our journal must be original works that have not been previously published, accepted for publication elsewhere, or simultaneously submitted to or under consideration by another journal. Manuscripts that have been presented at scientific meetings or conferences but have not been published as full-text articles may be considered by the journal, provided that the name, date, and location of the meeting are clearly stated in a footnote.

Acta Health Scientifica adopts an open-access policy to facilitate the universal dissemination of knowledge. The journal welcomes submissions from researchers worldwide and operates on a non-commercial basis to eliminate financial barriers to scientific publishing. Consequently, no fees are requested from authors for manuscript submission, processing, or publication.

Authors may access the current author guidelines, ethical forms, and submission instructions via the journal's official website.

Ethical Standards: The journal adheres to strict ethical principles in research. Authors must state the name of the ethics committee that approved their study, ensuring compliance with responsible research practices.

Author Identification: For transparency and academic integrity, authors are required to provide their ORCID iD, which uniquely identifies their scholarly work.

Fees and Charges: The journal does not charge any submission fees, article processing charges (APCs), or page fees.
